There are somethings we can do as women and men, yes men also can have breast cancer, to reduce the risks of breast cancer. Risk factors can increase the chances of getting a disease. There are some risks factors such as family history that can’t be change but there are others that we can control:
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Exercise at least 150 minutes per week
- Healthy diet
- Limit your alcoholic drinks or don’t drink them at all
- If you are taking hormone therapy or birth control pills talk to your doctor about the risks
These suggestions are recommendations to reduce the risks of getting breast cancer.
